Navigating the AppTego Portal
Overview
The AppTego Portal is where your team configures protection, manages builds, reviews security activity, and administers tenant access. Treat the portal as an operational system: select the right tenant, choose the right environment, make changes deliberately, and validate protected builds before promotion.
This guide explains the core navigation model so new users can find the right area quickly.
Authentication
Login Options
- Email and password for direct portal accounts.
- Google Sign-In for supported social login.
- Apple Sign-In for supported social login.
- SAML SSO for Enterprise identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, OneLogin, or another SAML 2.0 provider.
Multi-Factor Authentication
- TOTP-based MFA is required for direct username/password accounts.
- SAML-authenticated users rely on the identity provider's authentication policy.
Password Recovery
- Use Forgot Password from the login page.
- A reset code is sent to your registered email.
- Reset codes expire after a limited time.
Tenant Selection
After login, you may see Tenant Selection if your account belongs to more than one tenant. Each tenant is an independent workspace with its own security configurations, application builds, users, permissions, logs, subscription, and settings.
Always confirm the active tenant before changing controls, users, billing, SSO, signing material, or production settings.

Tego Assistant is opened from the assistant button rather than a left-sidebar page. It is available on all plans with plan-specific weekly limits. AI Search is a Team and Enterprise feature, and in the current portal it appears inside the Enterprise Audit Logs and Device Logs views.
Top Bar
- Tenant name identifies the active workspace.
- Environment selector switches between Production, Staging, and Development configuration.
- User menu provides account settings and logout.
Before saving or promoting configuration, check both the tenant and the environment selector.
Environments
AppTego supports three deployment environments for paid tenants:
| Environment | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Development | Testing new configurations and message changes. |
| Staging | Pre-production validation with QA and release candidates. |
| Production | Customer-facing configuration used for production protected builds. |
Promotion Workflow
Configurations can be promoted through environments:
- Configure settings in Development.
- Protect and test a build.
- Promote to Staging for release-candidate validation.
- Promote to Production after approval.
Enterprise tenants can also push supported live configuration updates to already-deployed apps when the app was built with live updates enabled.
Creating a Tenant
- Click Create Tenant from the tenant selection page.
- Enter a tenant name that your team will recognize.
- Review plan, users, and baseline configuration before uploading production apps.
Switching Tenants
Click the tenant name in the top bar or return to tenant selection to switch tenants. Switching tenants changes the active configurations, builds, users, logs, and subscription context.
